While this recipe is not veggie-focused I wanted to share it to show you how to make an easy marinade that will taste great even without adding any sugar to it.

The cinnamon brings out a tasty flavor that makes it sweet in contrast to the spice of the cayenne pepper. Pair it with your favorite salad or veggie recipe for a filling and nutritious meal.

How To Make the Marinade

The sweet and spicy pork chops marinade is super easy to make. If you want to seep in the flavors be sure to let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes. So here are the steps for how to make these pork chops.

First, take a medium-sized mixing bowl and add turmeric, mustard seed powder, cayenne chili pepper, and cinnamon.

Then place the pork chops in a sealable container. Pour the excess marinade on top of the pork chops. Seal and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. When you’re ready to cook the pork chops place them on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven. See all the recipe details below.

Notes

This recipe also tastes great when grilled. Throw these on the grill for about 4 to 6 minutes on each side. If you want a juicy pork chop make sure they are at least 140°F and no longer pink. Let the chops cool for 5 minutes and enjoy.
Don’t have a grill? No problem cook them on a grill pan on medium heat until cooked through.
