About the Radiant Root

Welcome to The Radiant Root, your go-to resource for delicious, plant-based, gluten-free, and dairy-free recipes. As a Registered Dietitian and passionate cook, I’m dedicated to helping you nourish your body and soul with delicious, wholesome food.

With my personal experience managing Hashimoto’s, I understand the challenges of navigating gluten and dairy dietary restrictions. That’s why I created The Radiant Root—to share easy-to-follow, nutrient-dense recipes that make healthy eating simple and enjoyable.

My recipes are designed to be flavorful, satisfying, and easy to follow, so you can enjoy healthy meals without sacrificing taste.

My recipes are crafted not only for those with gluten and dairy sensitivities but also for anyone looking to add more vegetables to their diet. Whether you follow a vegan, vegetarian, or meat-inclusive diet, you’ll find flavorful, balanced meals that nourish the body.

I believe in the importance of balance. Everyone deserves to indulge in a delicious dessert once in a while, regardless of their dietary restrictions. That’s why I include gluten-free and dairy-free dessert recipes in our recipe collection.

In every recipe, I provide nutritional information. In the body of our recipes, I will give you a nutritional breakdown of the main ingredient as well as a full nutritional panel in the recipe card.

This nutritional information is powered by Nutrifox*, which utilizes the USDA food database* to create its nutritional labels.

These recipes vary from short time-saving ideas to more in-depth recipes. All are based on nutrient-dense foods like fruits and vegetables.

I hope that these delicious and nutritious recipes will inspire you to try new vegetables and add them to your meals.

Join me on this journey to discover the joy of cooking gluten- and dairy-free meals that are as satisfying as they are nutritious.

Common and FAQs

Do I have to be gluten and dairy-free to enjoy these recipes?

Not at all! My gluten and dairy-eating husband Art is my taste tester and he gives me feedback on whether or not I’ve made something that will satisfy his picky tastebuds.

Spices are the key to flavoring even the most hated veggie. I’ve had friends who are not big veggie eaters but have loved my recipes.

With the various recipe options where do I start?

Before you do anything else sign up for my email list. This will ensure you get the latest recipes (we will not sell your email!). I also like to reward my email list by sending out recipes 2 days ahead of when I post them on social media!

Additionally, when you sign up you will also get my Meal Planning for CheatSheet as a thank you for FREE! This list will help you take control of meal planning and make cooking less of a chore.

If you like tips on shopping and cooking you can check out my posts on meal planning for beginners, meal planning hacks, Butcher Box reviews (I love this delivery service!), and blog on the best eggs to buy.

Otherwise, you can check out my favorite dinner recipes, breakfast ideas, salads, snacks, and sides.

Do you have a cookbook?

Yes! I have published a Summer Salads eCookbook on GumRoad.

Are you on social media?

Yes, I love posting on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Where do you get your recipe food and equipment?*

The Jersy Shore offers a lot of great local farmers’ markets, however, sometimes they don’t offer all the ingredients you need. So I will fill the gap with local stores like Greens Natural Foods, Whole Foods, Aldi, Wegmans, and Shoprite

Delivery services can also help when you’re strapped for time. Some of my favorites are Butcher Box, Fresh Direct, Amazon, Whole Foods, and InstaCart.

Looking for pantry items? Check out Amazon, and ThriveMarket.

Each recipe also offers you the ability to get the ingredients delivered right to you. All you need to do is click the “Get ingredients with Instacart” button.

For recipe equipment, kitchenware, and storage containers I like shopping at Amazon, Target, and Home Goods.

What are the nutrition panels based on?

Nutrition data for each recipe has been generated using the USDA Food Composition Database.

Can I use your photo and recipe on my website?

Please see our photo and recipe-sharing policy for details.
