Hello! My name is Jeanette. I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion for food and blogging that inspired me to start this website.
Getting optimal nutrition from nutrient-rich foods has made me feel my best. It also gives my body the vitamins and minerals I needed to combat stress and keep my autoimmune thyroid condition in check.
As someone with Hashimotos, I need to follow a gluten- and dairy-free diet. These dietary restrictions have made eating out quite a pain.
Luckily, I find solace in cooking. It is something that brings me calm and joy.
My mission with The Radiant Root is to create foods that nourish the body and soul and also taste great too.
Here you will find a lot of gluten and dairy-free recipes because I am someone who follows this type of diet. I do eat meat, but I see it as more of a side dish with veggies as the main attraction.
I also incorporate some Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) recipes into my diet and will offer these types of recipes here as well.
These recipes vary from short time-saving ideas to more in-depth recipes. All are based on nutrient-dense foods like fruits and vegetables.
