Ingredients

  • 1 medium peach pitted and cut into slices
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut cream (optional)

Instructions

  • Check if your air fryer needs to be pre-heated. If so, preheat it to 370°F. If your air fryer DOES NOT need to be preheated skip this step.
  • Prep the peaches. Rinse them off and pat dry with a dish towel. With a sharp knife cut around the outside of the peach so you can twist it open into two halves. Remove the pit and then continue to cut each half into slices.
  • Place the peach slices fanned out in a flat layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Sprinkle the peaches so they are covered with cinnamon.
  • Place the air fryer basket with the peaches in the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes at 370 degrees Fahrenheit. Cooking times may vary so check to see if they are fully cooked by poking with a fork. If needed cook for another 3 minutes so they are at the desired caramelization.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes and spoon them into a small bowl.
  • Top the peaches with coconut cream or your favorite non-dairy vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

Notes

Most air fryers do not need to be preheated. This is also the case with the one that I have. However, models vary, and if you do need to preheat your air fryer start by setting the air fryer to 370°F.
Use fresh, yellow ripe peaches that are not too hard or not too soft. When you squeeze the area between the stem and side you should get the flesh to move easily. This will enhance the cooked flavor.
If you cannot find yellow peaches you can also use fresh white peaches, nectarines, apples, plums, or apricots.
DO NOT USE frozen or canned peaches. They will get too mushy in the air fryer. You can also ripen peaches in a paper bag. Just be careful not to let them get too soft.
Cooking times vary by the model of an air fryer. Check with a fork to see if the peaches are done.
Skip the sugar and sweeten the peaches naturally with cinnamon. Cook the peaches in a flat layer to get the best results and good caramelization.
DO NOT use parchment paper. This may block airflow in the air fryer. Cook and eat the air fryer peaches on the same day if possible.
This recipe is best when cooked and consumed on the same day. Store the peaches in a sealable airtight container for up 5 days.
Do not freeze the air fryer peaches as they will get mushy.
Reheating this recipe can be done in the microwave, toaster, air fryer, or regular oven.
Cook for just a minute in the microwave. Then put the oven and air fryer at 200 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for two minutes in the air fryer. If you reheat it in the oven cook it for five minutes.
